GIA Avocado Toast

Ingredients for 4 people:

4 slices of wholemeal homemade bread or cereal;
350 g of ripe avocado pulp (2 medium, about, preferably of the Hass variety);
3 teaspoons of GIA Onion Paste;
1 lemon.
To complete, to taste: smoked salmon cut into thin slices, 2 or 3 radishes or a carrot. To taste: GIA Chilli Paste.


Lightly toast the slices of bread, let them cool
Peel the avocado and the hazelnut and coarsely mash the pulp with the lemon juice (matches with ½, then evaluated according to taste), the GIA Onion Paste and a pinch of salt. If you like, you can also add a few drops of GIA Chili Paste.
Spread the avocado sauce on the slices of bread toasted. Garnish with salmon and decorate with thin radish washers or carrot ribbons, for a crunchy touch. Enjoy.
NOTE: for a vegetarian version, you can replace salmon with thin sliced smoked scamorza, or you can also enjoy avocado toast without garnish, only with vegetables (radishes, carrots, cherry tomatoes, etc.). Again, try it with a poached or scrambled egg, or – again – with cubes of feta.
