“All’Uccelletto” beans with GIA Pastes in Tube

Ingredients for 4 people:

400 g of pre-cooked cannellini or borlotti beans
200 g of peeled tomatoes
1 teaspoon of GIA Garlic Paste
2-3 fresh sage leaves
Extra virgin olive oil
Fresh chili pepper or GIA Chilli Paste


Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan. Add the washed and dried sage leaves and let them infuse over low heat for a couple of minutes, being careful not to burn them.
Add the GIA Garlic and Chilli Paste according to your taste. Let them infuse for about 30 seconds.
Add the chopped or pureed peeled tomatoes to the pan and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Season with salt and, if needed, add a pinch of sugar.
Add the pre-cooked beans, mix well, and continue cooking over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes, or until the beans are well-flavored and the sauce has thickened and is fragrant.
Serve with toasted bread to mop up your plate with bread.
